Recycling Consultants Nederland
Waste management consultancy optimizing returns for Dutch businesses.
Recycling Consultants Nederland (RCN) is a waste advisory firm established in 2006 to serve medium to large enterprises in the Netherlands. The company was founded by Koes de Quillettes, who was later joined by his children, Kirsten and Robbert de Quillettes, establishing it as a family business. RCN operates as an independent consultant in the waste sector, specializing in providing advice, mediation, and guidance on total waste and material management. The firm's business model is centered on acting as an intermediary, connecting businesses' waste streams to the most suitable end processors within its extensive network. This approach allows clients to achieve higher yields or lower costs for their residual and waste materials. RCN does not process waste itself, which ensures its advice remains impartial and focused on client benefit. Its services include analyzing a company's waste policy via a "Quickscan," ensuring legal and environmental compliance, and handling administrative and organizational tasks related to waste management.
In August 2025, RCN was acquired by Seenons, an Amsterdam-based technology platform focused on circular waste management. The acquisition was a strategic move for Seenons to strengthen its position in the Dutch market by integrating RCN's nearly two decades of market knowledge and operational expertise with its own digital platform. The entire RCN team, including the de Quillettes family, transitioned to Seenons to ensure service continuity. This merger combines RCN's hands-on consultancy with Seenons' technology to better serve clients in sectors like food, retail, and logistics, particularly in the Netherlands and Flanders.
