QuantiSense was an Atlanta-based software company that provided business intelligence and retail analytics services. Founded in 2001 by Jeff Buck and Juan Pereira, the firm emerged with a vision to deliver cost-effective BI solutions to the retail sector. Buck, who served as CEO, and Pereira, the CTO, both had prior experience in the retail data analytics field at MicroStrategy, which informed their approach to building QuantiSense. Buck had also previously founded dotVantage, a venture focused on analytical applications for e-commerce.

The company specialized in offering both cloud-based and on-premise analytic solutions designed to help midsize and large retail chains make more profitable decisions in merchandising and store operations. The core product, the QuantiSense Retail Business Intelligence (RBI) platform, was engineered to consolidate and analyze large volumes of data from disparate sources like sales, inventory, and supply chain systems. This platform provided a cohesive, role-based view of the business for various users, including buyers, marketers, and corporate executives. Key features included analytics for merchandising to manage inventory at the SKU level, tools for store operations to improve performance tracking, and insights into omni-channel effectiveness and supply chain visibility. The company's "Playbooks" guided users to take specific actions based on the data, translating complex analytics into operational directives.

QuantiSense served a notable client list that included major retail brands such as Burlington Coat Factory, Hallmark Cards, Restoration Hardware, Urban Outfitters, and Michael Kors. In October 2014, Epicor Software Corporation announced its acquisition of QuantiSense to integrate its retail analytics capabilities into Epicor's broader suite of enterprise software. Following the acquisition, which closed by the end of that month, Buck and Pereira were expected to join Epicor Retail to lead its analytics and Big Data initiatives. Subsequently, in June 2015, Epicor Retail was spun off from Epicor and became Aptos, Inc.
