A key decision came in 1995 when the team pivoted to develop the Prime Energy Suite, a more comprehensive software solution designed for the emerging smart grid. PrimeStone's platform enabled clients to validate data, improve decision-making, and extract value from their information. Their solutions were adopted by over 250 utilities in 25 countries, proving the model's success. The company's journey took a significant turn on January 4, 2021, when it was acquired by Trilliant, a smart grid and smart city solutions provider. This event marked a new chapter for the Colombian software firm, integrating its specialized data analytics capabilities into a larger, global platform.
