PressureNet operated as a crowdsourced weather data network, leveraging barometers and GPS sensors in smartphones to collect atmospheric pressure readings. Founded by Jacob Sheehy, the company, operating under the name Cumulonimbus, launched its Android application on October 8, 2011.
