The venture was born from Dr. Mishra's personal experience with the pregnancy complication preeclampsia, which led to a resolution to address the lack of early-stage diagnostics for such conditions. Dr. Mishra holds a PhD from the International Centre for Genetic Engineering and Biotechnology at Jawaharlal Nehru University.

Headquartered in Bhubaneswar, India, the company specializes in developing next-generation diagnostic innovations, particularly for chronic health conditions like chronic kidney disease (CKD) and preeclampsia. Prantae Solutions operates in the point-of-care (POC) diagnostics market, creating affordable and accessible tools for early detection and proactive health management. The company’s flagship product is Proflo-U, a diagnostic tool for assessing kidney health. Proflo-U utilizes proprietary nanosensors, IoT, and AI technology to measure microalbumin to proteinuria levels, key indicators of kidney function. The system is designed to be calibration-free, cost-effective, and user-friendly, aiming to improve patient outcomes. Another key product is EyeRa, a modular sensing system designed to detect critical biomarkers with high precision using optical and electric sensing. In January 2025, Prantae Solutions secured ₹5 crore in a seed funding round led by the IAN Group, with participation from IAN Alpha Fund and several angel investors. This capital is intended to launch new diagnostic solutions for kidney health and diabetes care, enhance its product portfolio, and fund further research and development.
