Portadi was a cloud-based identity and access management (IAM) platform founded in 2014 by Tomas Soukup and Dusan Vitek. The company was established in Santa Clara, United States, and aimed to simplify how teams manage access to various cloud applications.
The business provided a centralized platform for single sign-on (SSO) to a wide array of cloud and on-premises web applications, such as Salesforce, Office 365, and Zendesk. Its core function was to allow team managers to control user access rights without sharing passwords, effectively replacing traditional team password managers with an Identity-as-a-Service (IDaaS) solution. This enabled organizations to grant employees one-click access to necessary applications, streamlining workflows and enhancing security by ensuring team members only saw applications pertinent to their roles.
The platform was designed to be user-friendly, not requiring specialized IT or administrative knowledge to operate. Portadi participated in the Microsoft Accelerator program, which provided it with institutional backing. After a period of operation, Portadi was ultimately acqui-hired by OneLogin on June 13, 2016, marking its exit from the market as an independent entity. Following the acquisition, the Portadi service was discontinued.
