The business model centered on providing this end-to-end solution to major brands and agencies, including clients like Telefonica, IKEA, and Toyota, helping them connect social shares to conversions.

Paolo Privitera, an Italian entrepreneur with extensive experience in technology since starting his first internet company at 16, was a driving force behind Pick1. His background includes ventures in Silicon Valley and participation in accelerator programs like 500 Startups and Start-Up Chile. The company went through several funding rounds, including a seed round of $150K in 2010, another for $283K in 2011, and a $1 million seed round in September 2012. It also secured a bridge funding round in April 2014 from a New York-based VC fund. Despite its initial traction and partnerships, including one with SurveyMonkey, Pick1 officially went out of business as of February 2020.
