Pi Beam Labs, operating under the brand Fyn Mobility, is an electric vehicle (EV) ecosystem platform focusing on sustainable and affordable transportation solutions for logistics and micro-mobility. The company was founded in 2013 by Visakh Sasikumar and Manu Iyer and was incubated at the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Madras. Initially, the firm concentrated on designing and building electric bicycles for campus commuting before expanding its product line. Visakh Sasikumar, the CEO, holds a degree in Industrial Engineering and an MBA from IIT-Madras, bringing a background in manufacturing processes and business analytics from his time at MRF Tyres and Mu Sigma.

The company has transitioned from an EV Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) to a vertically integrated "EV as a Service" platform. This business model provides end-to-end solutions, including the EVs themselves, financing, operations and maintenance (O&M), and data-driven insights through an integrated technology platform. The target clients include e-commerce companies, food delivery unicorns, and last-mile supply chain businesses that require efficient and trackable fleets for logistics and commute applications. Revenue is generated by providing these EV fleets and associated services to business-to-business (B2B) clients.

Pi Beam's initial product was a pedal-assisted electric tricycle, available with optional solar charging, designed for goods and passenger movement. Over time, its portfolio has grown to include a range of electric three-wheelers, cargo vehicles, e-rickshaws, and e-carts. One of its notable products is the PiMo, a utility e-bike with a 50 km range, a top speed of 25 km/hr, and a two-hour charging time, which does not require a driving license to operate. The company leverages its deep EV knowledge, gained from selling over 1,000 vehicles, to offer reliable and scalable micro-mobility solutions. With operations in cities like Chennai and Bengaluru, Pi Beam has outlined plans to expand its presence to Hyderabad, Mumbai, and Delhi, aiming to significantly increase its fleet size.
