Physiolistic Ltd is a physiotherapy business operating three clinics in the Thames Valley area: Henley-on-Thames, Reading, and Windsor. The company provides physiotherapy services, including sports massage and pilates, to self-paying and insured patients through all major providers like AXA, Bupa, and Vitality. Physiolistic's service model combines manual therapy, exercise, and the use of technology typically found in elite sports settings to aid patient recovery. Their technological offerings include diagnostic ultrasound, TECAR therapy, focused shockwave therapy, 3D posture analysis, and Compex muscle stimulation.
Chartered Physiotherapist Angela Botha founded Physiolistic in 2007, initially as a home-based clinic. Due to its popularity, it expanded into a full clinic at The Old Dairy in Henley-on-Thames in August 2010. By November 2016, the company moved to a larger, custom-built facility at the Henley Rugby Club. The business has since opened clinics in Reading and, most recently, Windsor in May 2024. Angela's husband, Clint Botha, who has a background as a clinical hospital pharmacist and in health policy, joined the company as Business Director to support its growth. In July 2025, the private healthcare operator Spire Healthcare acquired Physiolistic for an initial consideration of £5.2 million. The acquisition aims to integrate Physiolistic's services with Spire's hospital and occupational health businesses.
The company has achieved Quality Assured Clinic status from PhysioFirst and the University of Brighton, a recognition held by only a few clinics in the UK. It is also the only private physiotherapy business in England to provide both inpatient and outpatient services to a Spire hospital. In 2024, the clinic handled approximately 43,000 appointments and has established a strong reputation that has attracted work from an American NFL team and an F1 racing team.
