In January 2025, Phillips Pharma Group entered into an agreement for a strategic growth capital investment from Marubeni Corporation, a Japanese conglomerate. This partnership aims to leverage Marubeni's global network to improve the availability of medicines in Africa and support the group's continued expansion. As a result of the investment, which was finalized in August 2025, Phillips Pharma Group became an equity-method affiliate of Marubeni, extending the corporation's pharmaceutical platform across Asia, the Middle East, and Africa.
