Pet 100% is a veterinarian-founded company that provides one-stop-shop pet care services. The company was founded in Kaohsiung, Taiwan, by veterinarian Huang Tsung-wei in 2016, with the goal of increasing the lifespan of pets by five years. Huang graduated from the Department of Veterinary Medicine at Pingtung University of Science and Technology and previously worked as a sales veterinarian for animal vaccines. His experiences led him to establish a pet business that integrates his professional background.
The business operates on a composite model, combining veterinary clinics, pet grooming, retail of pet products, and owner consultation services. This model aims to address all pet-related needs in a single location. Pet 100% operates seven pet supply stores and five veterinary hospitals, with a membership of nearly 60,000. The company utilizes a digital management system to track customer data, including purchase history and pet health records, to offer customized services. In September 2022, the company secured NT$61.5 million in a Pre-A funding round led by the Chiao Tung University Angel Investment Club. More recently, in June 2025, it announced the completion of a NT$120 million Series A round led by Affinity Capital. The business generates revenue through its retail stores, veterinary services, and grooming.
The company launched a new brand, "so TRUE," which focuses on developing pet health products, starting with a kidney-care cat food can co-developed by veterinarians and nutritionists. Pet 100% also plans to introduce the "Maohai Passport" app to consolidate a pet's growth history, care information, and member data. With the latest funding, the company aims to enhance its AI applications and expand into international markets, including Japan, South Korea, and Malaysia.
