PT Pelita Mekar Semesta (PMS) is an Indonesian-based, fully integrated plastic recycling manufacturer founded in 2011. The company operates out of a 29,000-square-meter facility in Gresik, East Java, with a workforce of over 600 employees, a significant increase from its initial 27. The CEO is Willyam Wiranda, a corporate banking professional with over 13 years of experience in the plastics industry who has led the company since its inception.
PMS specializes in transforming plastic waste, particularly polyolefins, into valuable, reusable products for both domestic and international markets. The company's comprehensive recycling process includes collecting, sorting, crushing, washing, and pelletizing plastic waste. This vertically integrated model allows PMS to produce a range of products, including high-quality recycled plastic pellets (such as PP Film, PP Injection, HDPE Blown, LLDPE Film), flakes, and finished goods like PE blown films, trash bags, polymailers, and agricultural films. Its clients range from small businesses to multinational corporations.
The company adheres to high operational standards, holding ISO 9001:2015 and ISO 14001:2015 certifications, and utilizes an in-house laboratory to ensure strict quality control. In July 2025, PMS secured a significant investment from Circulate Capital, a circular economy investment firm. This funding is aimed at tripling the company's blow-film production capacity, boosting the output of high-quality recycled pellets, and expanding its collection and sorting infrastructure. The investment is projected to help PMS and another recipient circulate 320,000 tonnes of plastic waste by 2030.
