Parable VC

Parable Partners is a San Francisco-based venture capital firm currently raising its first fund, Parable Partners I, L.P. The firm focuses on early-stage investments, primarily at the seed, Series A, and Series B stages.

The firm was founded by Anne Lee Skates, who was previously a partner on the Andreessen Horowitz (a16z) consumer team and a seed-stage investor at Floodgate. Her background includes experience with products where user experience is critical to success. Before becoming an investor, Skates was part of the early teams at two venture-backed consumer startups: Solv, an urgent care marketplace, and FundersClub, where she led consumer product and user experience. She began her career as a consultant at McKinsey.

Parable Partners' investment thesis targets several key areas: the future of learning and self-improvement, commerce enablers, the creator economy, verticalized interest-based communities, and software tools for individual users and small to medium-sized businesses. The firm's strategy is to invest in companies with passionate founders building products for consumer or prosumer markets.
