Ordz Games is a GameFi project operating on the Bitcoin blockchain, recognized as the first gaming initiative on Bitcoin utilizing Ordinals, Runes, and DEPIN (Decentralized Physical Infrastructure Networks) technologies. The company was founded in 2022, with its first game launched on March 22, 2023. The founder, who goes by the pseudonym z3th, started the project based on a personal interest in retro gaming and the realization that retro games could be inscribed on Bitcoin as Ordinals.

The platform offers a series of fully on-chain retro-style games released in seasonal formats. Its business model centers on a play-to-earn system where players accumulate points that can be exchanged for the project's cryptocurrency tokens, such as $ORDG (a BRC-20 token) and GAME•OF•BITCOIN (a Runes token). This model has attracted a significant user base, with reports of over 120,000 active wallets and more than 260,000 players participating in its gaming seasons.

A key product is the BitBoy One, a handheld gaming device inspired by the 1989 Nintendo Game Boy. The BitBoy One functions as both a gaming console for on-chain and off-chain retro games and a hardware wallet for managing Bitcoin and Ordinals. The device also serves as a mining machine for the DEPIN network, allowing users to earn crypto rewards. The initial batch of 1,000 BitBoy One units reportedly sold out within two minutes of its public sale in April 2024. The company has completed a seed funding round with participation from investors including Waterdrip Capital, UniSat Wallet, CoinSummer, SatoshiLab, and Sora Ventures.
