The story of Orange County starts not in an office, but on a road trip across the United States. In 2019, two friends, Aaron and Sean, traveled to California with a mission: find the best quality hemp to bring back to the European market. One of the founders, Sean, who lives with chronic pain syndrome, personally experienced the benefits of CBD during the trip, which solidified their goal. They saw an opportunity to create a high-quality, effective, and affordable CBD product for the UK. Upon returning, they launched Orange County CBD. The company's name is a direct nod to the region in California where they found the fields of high-quality, organically grown hemp that inspired their venture. Starting with CBD oil, the company quickly expanded its product line to include gummies, e-liquids, and extracts within its first year. The company experienced rapid growth, hiring its first employee in February 2020 and expanding to a team of ten by September of the same year. This growth was fueled by a focus on product quality and innovation, which led to Orange County CBD becoming one of the most-awarded CBD brands in the United Kingdom. Today, the company operates from a state-of-the-art facility, including a large clean room, and has become a significant player in the international CBD market.
