Key clients included major telecommunications companies like Vodafone Group, Telenor, and Level 3 Communications. In March 2017, Ontology Systems was acquired by EXFO, a Canadian company specializing in test, monitoring, and analytics solutions for the communications industry, for $7.6 million.
