OMC°C, which stands for Office for Micro Climate Cultivation, develops solutions to integrate nature into urban environments. Founded in 2020 by Nicola Stattmann and Carlotta Ludig, the company focuses on urban greening, a field the founders have been concentrating on since that year. The team, which possesses experience in series product development, project realization, lightweight construction, and eco-design, is expanding to include experts from science, horticulture, architecture, and engineering.

The company's core product is VERD°, a modular product system for the vertical greening of urban spaces. This system utilizes a lightweight structure with textile nets and features around 20 species of fast-growing, seasonal climbing plants. These annual plants grow quickly in the spring to provide natural shade, cooling, improved air quality, and increased biodiversity. In the autumn, they are harvested as biomass and subsequently recycled as a raw material. The first modules were installed in Frankfurt am Main and Bersenbrück, Germany, in 2023.

OMC°C's business model centers on providing these product systems to address the complex challenges of climate change in cities, operating under the principle of "Maximum Green on Minimal Space".
