In 1988, a printing business called Northside Graphics was established in Belfast. For years, it operated as a traditional printer. The story's main action begins in 2010 when Gary and Neil White took the helm. They saw the future wasn't just in ink and paper, but in bytes and clicks. Aided by Managing Director Richard Campbell, they began transforming Northside into an online-first digital printing platform. The company built out four 'upload and print' websites, serving both the UK and Ireland, which became the core of its new strategy. This pivot to a digital-first model allowed them to offer a wide range of customizable products with market-leading turnaround times, attracting a growing customer base and numerous awards, including UK 'Company of the Year' in 2023. The playbook was working, and it attracted outside attention. In January 2024, the company reached a significant inflection point: an acquisition. London-based Bestport Private Equity took a majority stake in the business. The deal was designed to fuel the next stage of growth, combining organic expansion with strategic acquisitions. Gary and Neil White transitioned to roles as consultants and non-executive directors, with Richard Campbell continuing as Managing Director. Putting their new capital to work, Northside Graphics acquired Media Design and Print in April 2025, a move that expanded its service offerings and grew the team to over 80 employees.
