Nexmedis is an Indonesian health-tech company providing an AI-powered Health Information System (HIS) to streamline operations for healthcare facilities. Founded in 2023 by CEO Yehuda Dani Utomo, COO Matilda Narulita, and Chief Medical Officer Dr. Almer Deta Tarandha, the company combines expertise in computer science, management consulting, and medicine to address inefficiencies in Indonesia's healthcare sector. The founding team was motivated by personal experiences with the healthcare system, including struggles with misdiagnosis and recognizing the administrative burden on medical professionals.

The company's core products are designed for hospitals, clinics, and public health centers. Nexmedis offers a comprehensive, cloud-based electronic medical record (EMR) system that includes modules for clinic, pharmacy, and laboratory information, as well as HR and inventory management. A key feature is its AI-driven Clinical Decision Support (CDS) tool, which analyzes patient data to provide diagnostic recommendations with corresponding ICD-10 codes in seconds, aiming to improve accuracy and streamline insurance claims with agencies like BPJS. For facilities with existing EMRs, Nexmedis offers its CDS tool as a plug-and-play API. The company is also developing an AI transcription tool, MaleoScribe, to convert doctor-patient conversations into structured digital SOAP notes, reducing administrative tasks.

Nexmedis operates in the Indonesian market, targeting all types of healthcare facilities, from small general practitioner practices to large hospitals, including those in remote and low-resource areas. Since its launch in August 2023, the company has partnered with over 400 healthcare facilities. Nexmedis has received official recognition from Indonesia's Ministry of Health through its Regulatory Sandbox program and is an official partner of the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology for AI-powered health digitalization. In February 2025, the startup secured an undisclosed amount of seed funding in a round co-led by East Ventures and Forge Ventures to support its expansion across Indonesia and further develop its AI solutions.
