MVP Group International, established in 1998, operates as a manufacturer, designer, and marketer of scented candles, home fragrance items, and decorative accessories. The firm is headquartered in Elkin, North Carolina, and serves a global client base of major retailers. Its business model is centered on a dual approach, supplying products under both private labels, which account for the majority of its sales, and its own proprietary brands. This strategy allows the company to cater to large national retailers like Walmart and Dollar General, as well as smaller independent stores.

The company's product portfolio is diverse, featuring candles for various sectors including hospitality, occasional-use candles, and odor-eliminating products. MVP Group International's own brands include Colonial Candle, a brand with a legacy of over 115 years, and Manly Indulgence, which is marketed with a focus on masculine scents and aesthetics. The manufacturing process for its candles, from fragrance mixing to wicking, is conducted with precise specifications at its U.S. facilities. This control over production supports its position as a significant player in the private label scented candle market.

Over the years, MVP Group International has engaged in several strategic acquisitions and divestitures to shape its market position. In May 2011, it acquired Midwest-CBK, a notable name in home décor and gifts, which at the time owned the 100-year-old Colonial Candle brand. This acquisition was part of a larger strategy by its then-parent company, Primacy Industries of India's Manipal Group, to integrate the supply chain and expand its footprint in the branded candle space. Subsequently, in 2012, MVP divested the Midwest-CBK brand name and its associated businesses to Ganz, while retaining the Colonial Candle brand and its manufacturing facilities. The company itself was acquired by Primacy Industries and on August 1, 2022, was reportedly acquired again, continuing its journey under new ownership structures.
