Mountain View is an Egyptian real estate development company established in 2005 by Eng. Amr Soliman, emerging from its predecessor, Dar Al Mimar Group (DMG), which began in 1989. Soliman, with a background in architecture and a focus on community-centric design, founded the company to introduce high-end residential and resort projects based on international standards. The company launched its first project, Mountain View 1 in New Cairo, in 2006 and has since grown to be one of the top five real estate companies in Egypt.
The firm's business model revolves around developing and selling units in large-scale residential communities and luxury resorts. Its portfolio includes over 20 projects across Egypt's prime locations, such as East and West Cairo, the North Coast, and the Red Sea. Key projects include the iCity developments in New Cairo and 6th of October, Mountain View Hyde Park, and various coastal resorts in Ras El Hekma and Ain Sokhna. The company has a significant land bank and has delivered communities serving thousands of families. Revenue is generated directly from the sale of properties, which include apartments, and its trademarked iVillas, with sales reaching over $2 billion in 2024.
Mountain View's strategy is distinguished by its 'Science of Happiness' philosophy, which integrates design principles aimed at fostering well-being and community interaction. This is executed through partnerships with international firms like Delivering Happiness (DH) and CallisonRTKL to design spaces that encourage social connection. The company's developments often feature American-style architecture, extensive green spaces, and amenities that separate pedestrian and vehicular traffic to enhance safety and tranquility. A recent strategic expansion has seen the company enter the Saudi Arabian market.
