The platform aims to streamline and secure the rental process for both tenants and property owners. For tenants, MorningCroissant offers a fully digitized experience, allowing them to find and rent apartments online without the need for physical visits. The service includes virtual tours, secure online payments, and automatically generated rental contracts. The company also provides support for tenants in compiling their rental applications and has less stringent solvency criteria compared to traditional agencies.

For property owners, MorningCroissant provides a free listing service, management of rental requests via SMS and email, and verification of tenant creditworthiness. A key feature for owners is the guarantee of rent payments, which are collected by the platform and paid out on a fixed date each month, regardless of whether the tenant has paid. This service, called "Garantie Loyer Impayé," is offered in partnership with an insurer and covers up to €96,000 in unpaid rent.

The company's business model is based on taking a commission on the rent. This commission is paid by the tenant and amounts to 8% of the total rent for the first three months of the rental period. For the property owner, the service is free.

In 2016, the Caisse des Dépôts group acquired a stake in MorningCroissant, which has helped the company to expand its offerings and solidify its position in the market. The platform has processed over 80,000 rentals since its inception.
