Mobox
Web3 gaming platform with co-created open world economy.
Mobox is a community-driven GameFi platform that launched in April 2021 on the BNB Chain. The company is developing a cross-platform gaming metaverse, the MOMOverse, that integrates decentralized finance (DeFi) yield farming with gaming non-fungible tokens (NFTs). This creates a free-to-play, play-to-earn ecosystem where players, developers, and collectors are rewarded for their engagement.
The core of the Mobox ecosystem is its native utility token, MBOX, which is used for in-game purchases, governance, and staking. The platform features a collection of games, including "Dragonverse Neo," and allows players to gather, trade, and utilize unique NFT characters called MOMOs to earn rewards. Users can stake MOMO NFTs or participate in liquidity pools to earn passive income. The platform also features an NFT marketplace where users can trade, lend, and rent MOMO NFTs. A 5% fee is taken from NFT sales, with 80% of that contributing to a buyback and burn program for the MBOX token.
Mobox aims to achieve NFT interoperability, allowing assets to be used across different games and platforms. To support this, they are building the MOBOX Chain, a carbon-neutral public blockchain where NFTs act as nodes, enabling near-instant transactions. The company also established the METAfund, in collaboration with Binance NFT Marketplace, to support game developers in bringing their games to the blockchain and the MOMOverse. Mobox has formed strategic partnerships with entities like Yield Guild Games (YGG) and Project Twelve (P12) to expand its ecosystem and provide developers with tools like the P12 Editor for creating on-chain games.
