MindX Technology

MindX Technology is a Vietnamese educational technology company that provides long-term technology and programming training for various age groups, from primary school students to working professionals. The company was founded in the fall of 2015 by Nguyen Thanh Tung, Ha Nguyen, and Huy Nguyen, starting as a non-profit project with free programming classes in a small loft in Hanoi. The founders' vision was to create a technology hub where young people could freely create and pursue their passion for technology.

MindX offers courses across a wide spectrum of digital skills, including programming for websites, mobile apps, and games, as well as data science, UI/UX design, and blockchain. It operates on a hybrid learning model, giving students the flexibility to attend classes in person at one of its more than 40 campuses across Vietnam or join virtually. This model has been crucial in expanding access to students in remote areas. The company's business model includes tuition fees for its courses and has explored a "study now, pay later" model. To facilitate career placement, MindX has established a network of over 200 partner companies in countries like Singapore, Australia, and Thailand to connect its graduates with global job opportunities.

The company has seen significant financial backing, reflecting investor confidence in the growing demand for tech education in Southeast Asia. Its first funding round was a $500,000 seed round in October 2019, led by ESP Capital. This was followed by a $3 million Series A round in November 2021, led by Wavemaker Partners. In April 2023, MindX secured $15 million in a Series B round led by Kaizenvest, with participation from Aksorn, Mynavi, and returning investor Wavemaker Partners. Beacon Fund has also provided debt financing, supporting a women-led business.
