Established in 2015 by co-founders Ramprakash Beria, Dipendra Bhimsaria, Mayank Beria, and Chirag Beria, Millennium Babycares has positioned itself as a significant player in India's hygiene care industry. Mayank Beria, who serves as CEO, leveraged his Master's in International Business from Leeds University and experience in his family's textile business to identify a market gap for high-quality, yet affordable, hygiene products in India. This insight led to the creation of the Indore-based company, which initially focused on addressing the need for premium baby diapers that could compete with global brands on quality while remaining accessible to middle-class families.
The company operates a multi-brand strategy across three primary segments: baby care, feminine hygiene, and adult care. Its flagship brand, "Bumtum," offers a range of baby diaper products and has expanded to include baby wipes and toiletries. For the adult incontinence market, the company provides products under the "Elduro" brand, and for feminine hygiene, it offers sanitary napkins under the "Freeme" brand. Millennium Babycares functions with a dual business model, acting as both a direct-to-consumer (D2C) entity and a contract manufacturer for other brands. Its revenue is generated through an omnichannel approach, with sales split between online platforms like Amazon and Flipkart (70%) and offline retail channels (30%). The company also provides end-to-end OEM services, including product design, packaging, and marketing support.
Millennium Babycares operates a substantial manufacturing facility in Pithampur, Madhya Pradesh, set on over four acres of land. It was the first domestic manufacturer in India to install Japanese production lines, enabling the production of premium-quality hygiene products. As of late 2024, the company's daily production capacity stood at 4 million baby diapers, 500,000 sanitary napkins, and 100,000 adult diapers. This robust manufacturing capability supports its own brands and over 50 client brands. The company has demonstrated significant growth, reporting revenue of ₹585 crore in FY24, a 53% compound annual growth rate since FY20. To fuel further expansion, Millennium Babycares secured ₹122 crore in a private placement round in October 2024, with plans to enhance its plant capacity, expand its general trade presence across India, and grow its export footprint in markets like Dubai and Western Africa.
