Based in Skopje, North Macedonia, Microtica is a DevOps automation platform established to streamline cloud infrastructure and application delivery. The company originated from an internal tool developed in 2017 to solve challenges with project reusability and team performance variation. This internal solution's success led founders Rade Despodovski (CTO) and Marija Naumovska (Head of Growth) to officially launch Microtica in 2018. Despodovski's prior experience as a software engineer and CTO equipped him with the technical expertise to spearhead the platform's development. The firm was acquired by Synergi (Sweden) on February 27, 2023, and now operates as a subsidiary.

Microtica provides a unified platform designed for developers, DevOps teams, startups, and enterprises to automate the entire software delivery process on the cloud, primarily AWS. The platform addresses the need for faster, more reliable, and cost-effective cloud operations. Its business model operates on a tiered subscription basis, including self-service plans for individuals and small teams, as well as custom business plans for larger organizations with complex deployment needs. Plans range from a free tier for exploration to premium and enterprise levels, with pricing based on features and usage, such as the number of AI credits consumed for specific tasks.

The core of Microtica's offering is its AI-powered DevOps platform, which features agents that assist in building infrastructure, deploying applications, managing incidents, and optimizing environments. Key features include an AI Infrastructure Builder that generates infrastructure-as-code from natural language prompts, and an Incident Investigator for root-cause analysis. The platform supports Kubernetes deployments without requiring manual YAML configuration, offers a visual pipeline editor, provides real-time monitoring, and includes a library of reusable infrastructure templates. By automating tasks like CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure provisioning, and security configurations, Microtica enables development teams to focus on building products rather than managing complex cloud infrastructure.
