Mevvy operates as a specialized execution platform focused on Maximal Extractable Value (MEV) within the blockchain sector. The firm provides a web-based platform engineered to lower the technical barriers for traders, known as "searchers," who aim to capitalize on inefficiencies in blockchain transaction sequencing. Mevvy's core service is an integrated development environment (IDE) that comes pre-loaded with open-source strategies for arbitrage, back-running, and liquidation opportunities. This enables traders to concentrate on strategy development and optimization rather than managing complex and fickle infrastructure.

The company was co-founded by Garen Smith. In a significant milestone, Mevvy secured $2.8 million in a seed funding round on January 29, 2025. The round was led by Multicoin Capital and saw participation from Chapter One Ventures, Hypersphere, and a number of strategic angel investors, including the founders of other prominent platforms like Ondo, Pendle, and Ethena. This capital is earmarked for continued product development, expansion to additional blockchain networks including Solana and Ethereum L2s, and forming strategic partnerships with DeFi protocols.

Mevvy's business model appears to be moving towards a network-based approach. The company has outlined a roadmap that includes the future introduction of the Mevvy Network, where profitable traders will pay for network access. The platform currently supports Ethereum, Sui, and Sei, with plans to support all major blockchains with sufficient volume to make MEV attractive by the end of 2025. A key part of its long-term vision is the eventual open-sourcing of its core components to foster fair competition within the MEV space. The initial public version of the Mevvy platform is anticipated in the first quarter of 2025.
