Merge Labs

Merge Labs is a newly announced venture co-founded by Sam Altman, aimed at developing brain–computer interfaces that connect human brains with computers. Named after the concept of “the merge,” a term Altman used in his 2017 blog to describe the convergence of humans and machines, the company aims to leverage recent breakthroughs in AI and neural sensing hardware to create high-bandwidth brain implants.
