The C.L. Malach Company Ltd. was established in 1962 as a heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) business. In 1978, the McIvor family, led by Hamish McIvor, purchased the company. Following Hamish's passing in 1997, his son Bruce McIvor took over leadership, restructuring the business as C.L. Malach Company (1997) Ltd. and shifting its focus to custom sheet metal fabrication, machine, and tool and die building. Throughout the 2000s, the company expanded its facilities, services, and technology, adding a powder coating facility, FinnPower lasers, and a location in the United States. It achieved ISO 9001:2008 quality registration for its locations in Winnipeg, Canada, and Valley City, USA. The company employs Lean Manufacturing principles to minimize waste and enhance productivity.
