Lucky Meal, operated by Monandol Company, is a South Korea-based platform offering a "Lucky Bag" service where consumers can purchase unsold food from local stores at significant discounts, often around 50%. Founded in May 2024 by CEO Kim Hyun-ho, the company aims to tackle food waste while increasing revenue for small, local businesses. After experiencing numerous setbacks in a previous three-year entrepreneurial journey, Kim Hyun-ho launched the Lucky Meal MVP and focused on personally onboarding stores.

The business operates through a mobile app where users can find participating stores, reserve a discounted "Lucky Bag" of surplus items, and pick it up at a designated time. This model provides stores, including bakeries, delis, and cafes, with a way to sell items that would otherwise be discarded, thus reducing waste and creating new sales opportunities. For consumers, it offers access to a variety of foods at a lower price point. The platform has partnered with franchises like OUR Bakery and Cafe Gongmyung, as well as smaller local shops.

In December 2024, Lucky Meal secured an undisclosed amount of seed funding from the South Korean accelerator, Primer. This investment is intended to enhance the platform's services and technology. The company has expressed ambitions to expand its service across Seoul, then nationwide in South Korea, with long-term goals of entering the global market.
