Kwarts is a Belgian data analytics firm established in 2016 by CEO Bart Van Proeyen, which specializes in the life sciences sector. The company provides a data-driven engagement platform designed to help pharmaceutical and biotech companies improve their interactions with healthcare professionals (HCPs) by breaking down internal data silos.
The firm's core offering is its proprietary AI-driven customer data platform, A-Inside. This technology integrates with a client's existing CRM and ERP systems, centralizing and analyzing various data streams to map out the complete HCP customer journey. By understanding the behavioral patterns of each individual customer, the platform's intelligence engine predicts the next best action for sales and marketing teams. This enables life sciences companies to personalize their communication and optimize customer journeys at scale.
The company's business model transitioned from consultancy to a product-oriented focus, centered on the A-Inside platform. In June 2021, Kwarts celebrated its fifth anniversary by securing a €1.2 million venture round led by Volta Ventures, with participation from imec.istart, BlueHealth Innovation Fund, and several business angels. This funding was intended to recruit new talent and further develop the platform. The A-Inside platform was developed in collaboration with Hasselt University.
In February 2023, the Kwarts software platform was acquired by the Danish company DLI Market Intelligence (DLIMI) to commercialize it internationally. This marked the culmination of a seven-year development process led by founder Bart Van Proeyen. Prior to the acquisition, Kwarts also formed a partnership with Deloitte.
