klaep, operating under the legal name Bobbele Ideas GmbH, is a social music collaboration network targeting musicians, singers, and general music enthusiasts. The company was founded in mid-2021 by Philip Haberstroh and Tobias Lygren, long-time friends and musicians who have known each other since the fifth grade. The inspiration for klaep came to Haberstroh, a drummer, several years prior, drawing a parallel to Instagram's success in creating a platform for photographers and questioning why a similar space didn't exist for musicians to jam and collaborate.
