Jongorogosei

Jongorogosei Ltd. is a digital business process outsourcing (BPO) provider based in Kigali, Rwanda, that primarily serves Japanese companies. The company was co-founded by Taiji Ishizuka, who serves as Chairman, and Ayako Kasai, the Managing Director. Kasai, a graduate of Keio University's Graduate School of Business Administration, founded E-gates Inc. in 2016 after gaining experience in East Africa, and in 2018, co-established Jongorogosei.

The firm's core business is IT offshoring, offering services that include image processing, AI annotation, and web content production. By operating in Rwanda, a country with a growing focus on information and communication technology (ICT), Jongorogosei provides employment opportunities to local youth and facilitates their skill enhancement by catering to the Japanese market. The business model leverages the cost-effectiveness of offshoring in Africa as an alternative to rising costs in Asian countries.

A significant milestone occurred on January 16, 2025, when TOPPAN Holdings Inc. acquired 100% of Jongorogosei's shares. This acquisition is part of TOPPAN's strategy to expand its digital transformation (DX) and sustainable transformation (SX) businesses in the growing African market. The integration into the TOPPAN Group is expected to strengthen Jongorogosei's technical capabilities and operational sophistication, while also positioning it as an offshoring base for other companies within the group.
