Jing Jiahang, also known as CytoWiz, is a Chinese company founded in 2016 by Zhao Weiguo, specializing in artificial intelligence-powered cytology diagnostics. The firm provides a comprehensive intelligent solution for cell analysis, with a primary focus on cervical cancer screening. The founder, Zhao Weiguo, has over 30 years of experience in the in-vitro diagnostics (IVD) field and is a serial entrepreneur. Project operations officially began in 2019.
The company's product line covers the entire process from sample collection and preservation to a fully automatic slide preparation, staining, and coverslipping machine, a high-definition microscopic scanning system, AI-assisted diagnostic software, and a reporting information system. CytoWiz's CYTOWIZ® system integrates these components to automate and smarten the full cervical cytology screening workflow. This addresses issues of non-standardized sample preparation, low throughput, and time-consuming manual diagnosis, which helps to alleviate the shortage of pathologists. The technology platform is also expandable to other areas such as fine-needle aspiration pathology, urine cytology, and peripheral blood cells.
Jing Jiahang has successfully completed several funding rounds. In March 2021, it secured its A-round financing. This was followed by a Series A+ round in December 2022, raising tens of millions of RMB, led by Silicon Harbour Capital with participation from Zhangjiang Science & Technology Investment and Jinchang Qiya. The funds are intended for system certification, commercialization of its products, expansion of production lines, and research and development of new products in the cell analysis field.
