IoTBASE Inc., founded in February 2015 by Hiromasa Takuwa, developed and provided a platform for building Internet of Things (IoT) applications. The company aimed to simplify the complexities of IoT implementation by offering a one-stop solution that combined sensors, communication protocols, cloud backend services, and application development.

The firm's core offering, IoTBASE Cloud, enabled businesses without deep technical expertise in IoT to quickly deploy systems by combining pre-connected sensors and apps on the cloud. This platform supported various Low-Power Wide-Area (LPWA) communication methods, including Sigfox, LoRaWAN, LTE-M, and NB-IoT, and was compatible with iOS, Android, and Web systems. The company's services catered to diverse applications such as asset monitoring, disaster prevention management, and GPS tracking systems. It collaborated with government institutions and private companies, including Kansai Electric Power Company and NTT West, on projects related to smart cities, power generation monitoring, and security.

The company also offered a service called "Canvas," an IoT data dashboard designed to integrate and manage various sensor data from field operations, thereby improving productivity for industries like infrastructure and construction. In June 2021, IoTBASE announced a pre-series A funding round of approximately 80 million JPY from investors including Incubate Fund, Globis, and Aozora Corporate Investment to enhance product development. However, according to multiple business databases, IoTBASE ceased operations and is now considered out of business as of April 2024.
