IntegrityKEY S.r.l. is a spin-off from the Polytechnic University of Marche, established in 2022. The company developed a system to certify product traceability and monitor quality parameters for the food supply chain.

The service combines hardware and software to ensure transparency and authenticity for food products. It uses IoT sensors installed on food lots to acquire data on parameters like temperature, humidity, and light exposure. This information, along with GPS coordinates for origin and route tracking, is transmitted to a platform where it is stored on a blockchain, creating an unmodifiable permanent record.

IntegrityKEY's business model is based on an annual subscription to its platform services, which includes QR code implementation and blockchain traceability transactions. It also generates revenue from the sale and implementation of its sensor systems, tailored to the client's commercial size. The company targets small-to-medium agri-food companies, particularly those in niche markets like ancient grains, legumes, and wine, that want to protect and highlight the quality of their products.

The founding team consists of a Ph.D. in Food Technology, an IoT Specialist & HW/SW Developer, a Strategy Manager & Business Developer, a Marketing Executive, an Academic Referee, and a TCL Network & Security Engineer. The startup was recognized as one of the 63 most innovative in Italy in 2021 by the National Innovation Award and was part of the EIT FOOD 2022 incubation program.
