Inspire Neurocare
Specialist neurorehabilitation care for complex neurological conditions.
Inspire Neurocare offers specialist neurocare, rehabilitation, and recovery services for adults aged 18 and over. The company was established in 2020, with its first service in Worcester opening its doors on February 29, 2020. It is part of the Hamberley Group, which is backed by Patron Capital.
The company provides residential care for individuals with complex neurological conditions, including acquired brain and spinal cord injuries, stroke, and progressive diseases like multiple sclerosis, motor neurone disease, and Parkinson's disease. It operates on a model of person-centered care, developing bespoke rehabilitation plans for each resident. The service is delivered by a multi-disciplinary team which includes specialist nurses, physiotherapists, occupational therapists, speech and language therapists, and psychologists. A key feature of their model is the 'Life Skills Facilitator' role, which combines care, therapeutic input, and companionship.
Inspire Neurocare's business model is based on referrals from individuals, families, hospitals, and specialist units. The company has received recognition within the healthcare industry, being a finalist for the HealthInvestor UK's 'Complex Care Provider of the Year' award in both 2022 and 2023. The Worcester facility, which has 43 bedrooms, was rated 'Good' in all five key areas by the Care Quality Commission (CQC) in its 2024 inspection. Following the success of the Worcester location, Inspire Neurocare has been expanding, with new facilities under construction in Southampton, Camberley, and Basingstoke to serve the South East. In April 2025, investment manager Downing acquired Inspire Neurocare as part of a strategic move into the neuro-rehabilitation care sector.
