Inplat, also known as Intelligent Payments, was a financial software company founded in 2010 and headquartered in Moscow, Russia. The company developed and maintained its own internet acquiring and mobile payment system. Its platform facilitated payments for both buyers and sellers, offering services like money transfers, mobile subscriptions, and microlending, which allowed businesses to select suitable payment methods to increase sales. The company stated that over 50% of all mobile payments in Russia passed through its platform, processing 500,000 payments daily.
Historically, Inplat has gone through several funding stages, starting with an Early Stage VC round in 2010 and a Later Stage VC round in October 2017, with VK Company being one of its investors. The company successfully worked with all mobile operators in Russia. Notably, it collaborated with MegaFon to issue 1,000,000 bank cards, with all payments processed through Inplat's platform. It also launched PayByClick payments in services like Odnoklassniki and World of Tanks.
In a significant corporate development, OOO "InPlat" (Intelligent Payments LLC) was reorganized through a merger and officially became part of Public Joint Stock Company "MegaFon" on November 10, 2023. As a result of this merger, MegaFon became the legal successor to all of Inplat's rights and obligations, ensuring continuity for all existing contracts and services. Before the acquisition, Inplat was a privately held, formerly venture-capital-backed company.
