Innovative Insurance Group is an independent insurance agency established in 2015 following the merger of four Virginia-based benefits agencies: Benefits Group Insurance, The Denison Insurance Agency, Weaver and Weaver Insurance Agency, and Insurance Services South. The founding partners include Samuel Irby, Earl Weaver, and Charlie Webb. The firm operates as one of the largest brokerages in Virginia, specializing in individual, employee benefits, and Medicare insurance, with additional expertise in Human Resources and Affordable Care Act (ACA) compliance and reporting.

The company serves individuals, families, and businesses by functioning as an independent agent, which allows them to work with a variety of top carriers to find suitable coverage for their clients. On August 6, 2025, it was announced that ALKEME, a top 35 national insurance brokerage, had acquired Innovative Insurance Group as part of its East Coast expansion strategy. The Innovative Insurance Group team will continue to operate from its eight locations in Virginia.
