Impact Fulfillment Services (IFS) operates as a specialized provider of outsourced contract packaging and distribution services. The company was founded in 1998 by Todd Porterfield and is headquartered in Burlington, North Carolina. In 2016, Endeavour Capital invested in IFS, a move that provided partial liquidity to shareholders and supported the company's long-term growth objectives. A significant milestone in the company's history occurred in November 2023, when it was acquired by Ryder System, a prominent logistics and transportation company. This acquisition was a strategic move by Ryder to accelerate growth in its supply chain business by incorporating IFS's co-packaging and co-manufacturing capabilities. The deal was expected to add approximately $250 million in annual revenue to Ryder's supply chain solutions segment.

Following the acquisition by Ryder, IFS was integrated into Ryder's supply chain solutions business. Ryder retained IFS's workforce of approximately 1,000 employees and its 15 operational facilities across nine states, totaling nearly four million square feet. The acquisition combined IFS's specialized contract packaging and manufacturing services with Ryder's fully integrated port-to-door logistics capabilities. Todd Porterfield, the founder, planned to retire following the acquisition, while IFS President Rob LeBaron joined Ryder as vice president of contract manufacturing and packaging.
