iMotionDrive Kft. is a spin-off from the Budapest University of Technology and Economics that specializes in vehicle control systems and safe maneuvering at the limits of vehicle handling. The company develops solutions for various sectors, including accident avoidance, motorsport, driver education, and specialized applications for border control, off-road, and military use.

The managing director is Dr. Ádám Bárdos, who also serves as the Head of the Vehicle Dynamics and Control Research Group at the Department of Automotive Technologies at the Budapest University of Technology and Economics. The company was announced in November 2023, alongside a collaboration with ABConnect, a spin-off from Sweden's KTH Royal Institute of Technology. Together, they are developing remote vehicle control and automated vehicle management systems using next-generation communication technologies. This partnership operates within the framework of the Wallenberg AI, Autonomous Systems and Software Program (WASP), Sweden's largest research program.

iMotionDrive's technology is aimed at enhancing public safety and security through advanced technical solutions in autonomous systems. The company's research and development efforts are supported by funding from the European Union via the National Laboratory for Autonomous Systems.
