Prior to establishing ImaginOn, Schwartz had a background in new media systems, having served as Vice President of New Media Systems & Technology at Atari Corporation, where he invented GameFilm technology. His experience also included leading a software team at Tandy Research that developed an early erasable CD recorder/player.

The firm operated as a content management platform for corporate clients, focusing on the development and marketing of broadband and wireless software systems for internet and intranet use.
