iClips offers a comprehensive, web-based management platform tailored for advertising agencies, communication houses, and marketing departments. The company was founded in 2001 by José Luiz Quintella and Márcio Lopes, originating from the Softex Genesis program at the Federal University of Juiz de Fora (UFJF) in Brazil. The founders identified a market gap for a management system compatible with both Windows and Mac operating systems, leading to the development of the first 100% web-based platform for agency management in Brazil.
The software-as-a-service (SaaS) platform integrates all agency departments, from creative and project management to finance. Key features include project and task management with customizable Kanban workflows, timesheets for tracking hours, and financial dashboards for monitoring revenue, expenses, and profitability. The platform also offers tools for managing client contracts, creating proposals, media planning (including digital and traditional), and generating invoices. A client communication module, iJob, centralizes approvals and feedback. iClips provides over 40 types of reports, enabling data-driven decision-making on client profitability, team productivity, and overall business performance.
The company's business model is subscription-based, with different plans available. Over the years, iClips has evolved, adopting the SaaS model in 2016 and establishing a Customer Success department in 2017. It was acquired by Rock Content in 2019 and was temporarily rebranded as Studio, before resuming operations under its original name to focus specifically on the advertising market. The platform aims to streamline agency operations, reduce rework, and increase productivity, allowing creative teams more time to focus on innovation.
