This includes marine cargo insurance and other business coverages. The company built its reputation on industry expertise and customer service, becoming a key player in its niche. A significant chapter in the company's story unfolded in September 2020 when it was acquired by Intact Insurance Specialty Solutions, through its brand OneBeacon Insurance Group. At the time of the acquisition, Kevin Tattam was the president of IB&M. The acquisition allowed IB&M to retain its brand and operate as a standalone brokerage while expanding its capabilities and market reach.
