Huijiwiki is a Chinese-language wiki hosting service, also known as a wiki farm, launched in February 2015. The company was co-founded by Gao Ang (SerGawen) and Gu Xi (Reasno). The inspiration for Huijiwiki came from Gao Ang's experience as an administrator for the Chinese 'A Song of Ice and Fire' wiki on Wikia. Frustrated by the platform's limitations, poor Chinese language support, and its inaccessibility in mainland China, Gao, who was then working as a handheld game planner, decided to create a domestic equivalent. He partnered with Gu Xi, another administrator from the same wiki community, to establish their own wiki farm in China.
The platform is built on MediaWiki software and allows users to create and manage their own wikis on a wide variety of subjects, with a notable focus on game-focused communities. It is currently operated by Beijing Jiameng Jienuo Network Technology Co., Ltd. Huijiwiki has grown to become the second-largest MediaWiki farm globally, hosting over 400 individual wiki sites with more than 100,000 registered users who have collectively made close to 10 million edits. The company operates on a venture capital-backed model, having secured a Series A funding round in July 2016.
