Hoseanna was a New York City-based e-commerce startup founded in 2011 by Tracey Solomon and Katrina Carroll-Foster. The company operated on a subscription-based business model, automating the delivery of personal care products for women. It aimed to provide convenience by offering a curated selection of items such as tampons, pantyhose, and razors, delivered on a recurring schedule set by the customer. This service targeted busy women who sought to streamline the purchasing of monthly necessities.
The business was positioned as a solution for the recurring, often mundane, task of shopping for personal essentials. Customers could select from a collection of trusted brands across various categories, including feminine care, intimacy, and health & beauty, and then choose an auto-ship frequency that suited their needs. In February 2011, Hoseanna secured $250,000 in a seed funding round from the investment group InitioGroup. The company was also selected as one of 15 Canadian startups to be showcased at the Launch@GROW conference in the same year. According to public data, Hoseanna is no longer in operation.
