Heer Keji

Heer Keji, also known as the Tianjin Haier Washing Machine Interconnection Factory, is a large-scale smart manufacturing facility located in the Balitai Industrial Park in Tianjin, China. The factory, which officially began production in September 2019, is a significant part of Haier Group's strategic layout and represents a major investment in advanced manufacturing.

The facility is distinguished by its use of 'smart + 5G' technology, creating an intelligent industrial park. It incorporates Haier's COSMOPlat, a mass customization industrial internet platform, which allows for the flexible production of both pulsator and drum washing machines on the same line to meet specific user demands. The factory is equipped with four intelligent assembly lines, three smart module areas, and three intelligent logistics systems. It has implemented over a hundred IoT technologies, including AI and 5G, with 15 specific 5G smart manufacturing applications already in place. Technologies like AR-assisted remote guidance and inspections, robotic patrols, and AI-powered visual quality checks are integrated into the daily operations to enhance efficiency and product quality.

The Tianjin factory has received global recognition for its advancements in smart and sustainable manufacturing. In 2021, it was named a "Lighthouse Factory" by the World Economic Forum (WEF), a designation for facilities that show leadership in adopting Fourth Industrial Revolution technologies. Subsequently, in January 2023, it became the first Chinese domestic company to be included in the WEF's "Sustainability Lighthouse Factory" list, recognized for its achievements in reducing waste and carbon emissions through innovations in manufacturing processes and energy management.
