Haoliners Animation

Haoliners Animation League is a Chinese 2D animation studio founded in Shanghai in 2013 by Li Haoling. The company also operates a Japanese subsidiary, Animation Company Emon, and maintains a branch in South Korea. In February 2021, the Chinese video streaming service Bilibili acquired Haoliners Animation and its subsidiary.

The studio was established with a focus on producing animation for online platforms, partnering with major media and comic platforms such as Tencent Comic, Bilibili, and iQIYI. This business model involves adapting popular Chinese webcomics and novels into animated series, a strategy that has proven successful within the domestic Chinese market. The company's revenue is driven by producing animated series for streaming services and co-production partnerships. The studio has raised $28.9M in funding, with investors including Wutongshu Capital, prior to its acquisition.

Haoliners is known for a significant volume of work, having produced a large portion of China's domestic 2D animated series since its inception. The studio employs a flexible production model, often collaborating with Japanese and Korean studios. Production for some series is handled entirely in Japan, while others are co-produced with its Korean branch or other partner studios. Notable works from the studio include "Fox Spirit Matchmaker", "The Daily Life of the Immortal King", "Link Click", and the first season of "Heaven Official's Blessing". The company has also been involved in high-profile projects such as an anime-inspired music video for the "League of Legends" World Championship.
