Guodong Network Communications Group is a private communications enterprise group primarily focused on the investment and operation of communications infrastructure. The company was initially founded in 1997 by Lu Jie, who serves as the Chairman and President. The group was formally established in 2008. It has become the largest independent tower company in China, with its number of communications towers ranking 12th globally.

The company's business model is centered on the construction, leasing, and operation of telecommunications infrastructure, a strategy known in the industry as the "Guodong Model". Its core business involves communication towers, providing tower leasing, indoor distribution services, and computer room rentals to mobile communication operators. Guodong has expanded its portfolio into a business strategy referred to as "one body and two wings," which includes its main communication tower business alongside new energy and digital intelligence information technology. The new energy division focuses on services for electric two-wheeled vehicles, including battery exchange platforms and charging piles, as well as charging equipment for four-wheeled vehicles, ride-sharing, and energy storage. The digital intelligence arm, established in 2023, offers system integration, intelligent network towers, edge computing, and data center services to government and enterprise clients.

Headquartered in Shanghai, China, Guodong has established a comprehensive presence with 31 provincial companies and over 300 municipal business departments across the country. The company has secured investments from prominent international and domestic institutions, including Morgan Stanley, CICC Capital, CITIC Securities, a sovereign wealth fund from Abu Dhabi, and another from a Middle Eastern country. As of June 2020, the company operated 19,875 tower and DAS sites, and by 2024, it held 50,000 towers.
