Groupe Santé Victor Pauchet is a French independent group of private hospitals with facilities in the Hauts-de-France, Île-de-France, and Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes regions. The group's history dates back to 1897, when Doctor Victor Pauchet, a pioneering surgeon of his time, founded the first clinic in Amiens. Originally focused on digestive surgery, the clinic quickly expanded to include orthopedics. Dr. Pauchet was a notable surgeon who developed innovative medical techniques and was recognized for his humanistic approach to care.
The clinic was passed down through the family, with Dr. Pauchet's son-in-law, Dr. Raymond de Butler, taking over in 1920 and developing urological surgery. His son, Dr. Patrick de Butler, a hand surgery specialist, took the reins in 1961. A significant step in the group's expansion occurred in 1992 when the original clinic, then with 106 beds, relocated to a new, larger facility in the Pôle des Cliniques Privées d'Amiens. Tanguy de Butler succeeded his brother Patrick in 1987, and in 2021, allied with Clinifutur and Crédit Mutuel Equity to support modernization and investment plans.
The group provides comprehensive healthcare services across medicine, surgery, and obstetrics. It operates multiple establishments, including the reference Clinique Victor Pauchet in Amiens, which features 300 beds, 19 operating rooms, and advanced technology like the Da Vinci X robot. Other facilities include the Maternité Victor Pauchet, a leading maternity unit with a Type 2A classification, and specialized centers for rehabilitation, post-operative care, and psychiatry.
